Education & outreach

Esther works with people of all ages and abilities, aiming to inspire and lead them in performances of the very best music to the highest possible standard, while developing their musical skills and understanding.

She is an experienced teacher, offering group and individual tuition to choral directors and singers. She is Musical Director of the Brighton Festival Youth Choir and The Song Squad (a junior choir based at Christ Church, Epsom Common). She is an Assistant Director of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and Assistant Conductor to the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir.

Esther is also in demand across the UK as an animateur and workshop leader, running vocal workshops for schools, churches, community groups and businesses. She is happy to devise a fun and stimulating workshop to suit the needs of any group.

Past projects include:

- Teacher training days for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain

- Come and Sing Faure Requiem in Burnham, Buckinghamshire in September 2009 

- Tutor for Young Conductor's Course at the ABCD Annual Convention in August 2009

- Teacher training in Woking and Ely in June 2009

- Come & sing Mozart's Requiem event in the City of London in October 2008 

- Hansel & Gretel: Esther led creative workshops in local schools and prepared the children's chorus for performances of Humperdinck's opera at the RAM in October 2008

- Rapunzel: Esther commissioned and conducted a new community opera by John Barber at the Royal Academy of Music in June 2008, performed by RAM students and pupils from local  primary schools

- Teacher training for Opera North in February 2008
